Working with people is one of the biggest mind turners when it comes to coaching sport, it’s something that one isn’t really taught, yet it is one of the biggest factors when it comes to coaching, and unless one works in Business, Law Enforcement or Education we’ve all got a lot of work and learning to do.
So I’ve had a bit of time off, and by taking the time off, it gives one time to think and I think I’ve come up with some working basics to give greater clarity to what is going on.
And essentially, people are going to be:
Needy People or Learners & Improvers
Fixed Mindset or Growth Mindset
And one of the biggest keys of the puzzle in working with people is in learning about Archetypes and it’s taken me a while to get my head around what an Archetype really is, and the best way that I can explain it is like this:
An Archetype is a name for a group of characteristics
And once one begins getting their head around Archetypes, it learning how to work with each in how you approach them and there is 4 main ways working from Respect, Information, Understanding or Assertiveness.
So working with people is a big topic, and no one is every going to get it right all the time, though if there is some basics to work from, then we’ll at least have some light to guide ourselves through
