When you look at the brain and all that it does, it is amazing that it accomplishes so many things at the same time for the working brain deos so many things all at once.
And it’s no more prevalent than when out on the sporting field, especially playing a team game.
And we all complain about the mistakes made, but forget to marvel at what is being achieved for when you consider what is being taken into account by each individual out there and the coordination that must occur between all on the field.
With ball sports, the movement of the ball, the movement of the players, the coordination of the body, the structure the team is playing to, the list is just endless, that at the end of a game people should come off the field both physically and mentally tired for the amount of work the brain has done on the field is astronomical.
To see how adaptable the brain is you only have to look at the drummer for the band Def Leppard who lost an arm in a motor accident and readapted to play the drums with only 1 arm.
Or the right handed Olympic Shooter who lost the hand and had to learn to shoot left handed and went onto win an Olympic gold medal.
In both cases new neural circuits would have been created in the brain for these feats to be achieved.
The working brain is an amazing organism and the more one begins to know about the brain and how it works the more fascinating it becomes
