I have found a gem in a 2009 interview with Usain Bolt and his coach Glen Mills.
The interview is split into 3 parts and goes for about 50 minutes with the links to each part below.
There are gems all throughout the interview and I’ve picked out three in particular that encompasses the whole philosophy.
In part two the first six minutes from 00.04 – 06.10 there is Glen’s philosophy, the mind body connection and the importance of flexibility in planning.
In part three is Glen’s basic philosophy on coaching and can be viewed from 14.25 to 16.10
Also in part three Glen answers a question about what motivates him from 17.05 – 18.40
The whole interview is a fascinating insight though through these 9 ½ minutes is the concept as a whole and you can see why he achieved the success they have.
What surprised me is how quickly and easily these points are glossed over and missed during the interview and yet they are so crucial to the success they’ve achieved.
