As I’m talking to people about neediness in sport and the destruction that it causes, what I am find is that it beginning to strike a chord with people.
The group of people who struggle with it are needy people, because all of a sudden their weapon of choice and their mode of operation is being exposed.
One of the way of changing things is not to go to the top, but start at the ground levels.
Another way is to aim the information at the children, for once you get the children on board the adults follow
And a third is to make the unmentionable mentionable
In which neediness at the moment is an unmentionable.
For example, twenty years ago no one wanted to talk about prostate cancer and now it’s almost if you don’t get it there is something wrong with you
Therefore in the interest of regaining sport back to what it should be, competing for the first prize, it’s time to begin the conversation and bring the subject of needy people out of the shadows and into the spotlight, for:
Once a light is shone upon, the darkness can’t survive
