Speeding up, well as one gets older, that’s all that time seems to do, but a question that comes to mind is, how does one go about speeding up the learning and improvement process, because as a coach, one may only have some players for 1 to 2 years.
So one starts distilling things down to a more practical and simple basis by becoming aware of things like:
Use of the appropriate language
Using Simple Physical Techniques
Coaching of Core Skills And Techniques
Use of Imagery to create pictures in the head
Have a simple way to chart players progress
And one must create an environment for speeding up the learning process by:
Creating a Learning Environment
Cultivating a Growth Mindset
Controlling the Environment
And one can accelerate the learning and improvement process by activating the players ability for self-education, and a few nudges in the right direction doesn’t go amiss.

Yes, coaching is way more than teaching a few skills, techniques and tactics, for if the players do not want to learn and improve, all one’s coaching and sporting knowledge become irrelevant
