If you want to start improving your play on the field, start introducing small intense competitive games (SICG) into your practices.
They’re fun, hard work and really get the intensity up.
As the name suggest, they’re games, played on a very small area and with small numbers per side.
For field sports I’m finding 2 V 2 or 3 V 3 about ideal, that way everyone is involved and no one can hide so people are forced to develop their skills and put themselves in pressure situations.
There has to be some competitive element to it so you can have a winner at the end and also helps to create the intensity.
