Shattered into a million pieces, that’s what can happen to one’s illusion about the nature of reality.
For the figure of 10 years seems to be a common theme when one begins doing research into the conspiratorial nature of what is going on in our reality, and this ten years seems to be divided into two sections, with one being 7 years, and the other being 3 years.
For it seems to be about 7 years of constantly looking into things and venturing down rabbit holes, that one starts to go, hold on, everything that I am looking into, the reality and the narrative is breaking down, there is something going on here, and one’s illusions of this reality are totally shattered.

And then one starts to go, hold on a second, what’s going on with this reality? For if everything is breaking down, then this reality isn’t what we think it is, and a whole new search begins.
And to start getting a basic grip on a basic understanding of this reality is about a 3 year process, and one begins to come to realize that:
We are not who we think we are, and this reality isn’t what we think it is
And ideas that one comes across may have seemed way out there at the start, begin to make a lot more sense, and the mainstream cult that we live within, starts to look like the most unnatural thing around.
And one begins to realize that it is the systems and structure in place which is creating a lot of the problems, yet it is the systems and structures that is the last place that people look to for solutions in correcting things.

That is why changing the people without changing or modifying the system never works.
So yes, when one begins looking at the world and this reality around us, our illusions truly get shattered, for once the veils drop and the veneer wears thin, the lies once used to deceive us do not no longer work
