Sandbars always cause problems for people navigating certain water ways, for they constantly shift, and unless one can read the ripples on the water, one will beach themselves upon the sandbars hidden underneath.
And in a way, that’s a bit like coaching, or working with any group of people, for as people come and go, the dynamics of the team will change, and unless one can read these change, ones coaching will beach upon the changing sandbar that exist.

For one of a coaches greatest challenges is to adjust and to realise the changing dynamics over time, for the motivation that worked for one group of people, will not work for another, and many a coach have come undone applying the same techniques to one group, expecting them to work with another.
