Pattern recognition is a key aspect of the coaching process, for without the ability to recognize patterns, everything will seem disconnected and chaotic.
We look at nature and it can seem random most of the time, yet underneath everything, there will be a pattern at work, though sometimes we don’t see those patterns because the connections between them are far apart in distance.
And when it comes to coaching or playing sport, if one can work to principles and begin to recognize patterns, one’s ability as a player or coach will begin to rise.
