It’s always interesting about the learning process in the many divergent paths we take, which if you ask which paths we were going to take before we started, we wouldn’t have been able to tell you.
And this divergent paths concept has been very pivotal in my coming to understand the coaching process better because:
I started out looking for information so I could improve and become a better coach, and along the way have come to a better understanding and appreciation of how our reality works
Because what I’ve ultimately come to understand is that the basic concept of coaching is built around the creating and maintain of a learning environment, as well as activating the players ability for self-education and building the core skills and techniques into them so they have a solid foundation to work from
And where the repetition comes in, is not in the drills that you do, it’s in the execution of the core skills and techniques when doing the drills that you do
And through the learning about our reality, I’ve come to have a better understanding and appreciation that:
We live in between 2 worlds, they being our physical reality and the Imaginal Realm and that we’re immersed in an interactive information field, which we call for a better word, Consciousness
And that we communicate between Consciousness and the Imaginal Realm through various means
And through this communication with Consciousness and the Imaginal Realm, we create our reality
So you may be asking, what has all this stuff about Consciousness and the Imaginal Realm got to do with coaching and playing sport?
The short answer is everything, for when one begins to understand that our Imagination and our Thoughts are 2 of the most powerful tools that we have, then the beliefs that one has shape the reality that you perceive
