If you built a car, would you put in a small fuel tank and poor quality fuel?
For that’s what’s currently happening when dealing with people via coaching.
As a coach, you have to come to the understanding that the mind is like a fuel tank and the only way you can build a big fuel tank is to have an understanding of the mind.
This is the reason I am writting so much about the mind because there plenty of websites, books and courses about the skills, techniques and tactics for sports but almost none about the effective understanding of and working the mind for sport, for:
If you do not have an understanding of the mind, you have to make do with a small fuel tank in your players.
When you do delve into the mind, once you have an understanding and thus be able to build a big fuel tank, you have to fill it with good quality fuel.

The above aspects comprise the good quality fuel you put in the car.
As I’ve said before, to be a good mechanic you have to go under the hood and as a coach you have to go into the workings of the mind.
