You’ve started to look into nutrition, you’ve started to change what you eat and the natural supplements you take to compliment what you eat, so how do you go about improving your health further?
There are 4 further things that can improve your health further, each on their own are good, though when you combine them all, the sum becomes greater than the whole of its part.
Those 4 things to improve your health further are these:
When most people breathe these days they do so from the chest, yet the most benefit comes from breathing deep, from the belly. The easiest way to tell which way you breathe is to put your hand on your chest, if your hand moves, you’re shallow breathing from your chest.
If you do not do some form of stretching, you muscles will begin tightening up, especially if you are exercising, I do a lot of work on lower body when stretching, mainly because of the work that I do and the sport that I play and I’ve found the number of days I do stretching is between 2 – 4 days, and I do it on the days that I don’t go for runs or training for sport.
Meditation is well under rated, because it creates a bit of me time for yourself. Doing mediation every day is a great way for refreshing the mind. If you’ve never done it before, start with only 5 mins, then after a week, make it 10 minutes, and again I’ve found 20 minutes to be ideal.
To improve your health further, become involved in some form of aerobic exercise which helps to raise your heart rate. And again, I’ve found 20 minutes to be an ideal amount, especially if you’re not involved in sport and just purely doing it for health reason, and I only go for a run 3 times a week over the summer, then my sports training takes over in the winter months.
If you’ve never run before, just build into it slowly, start with 5 minute walks, say Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. After the 1st week Mondays become a 10 minute walk, Wed & Fri is still 5 min walk, the following week, Mon 10, Wed 10 & Fri 5min, then the following week all three days are 10 minutes. Repeat the process for 15 minute walks, then repeat the process for 20 minute walks.
Then shift up to running, start with a 5 minute run for each of the 3 days, then build up to the 20 minute mark so eventually you are running 20 minutes for 3 days of the week, you’ll be surprised at the difference it all makes. It doesn’t have to be Mon, Wed & Fridays, the days could be Sun, Tues & Thurs, you decided.
People can go, I haven’t got time for all this, just create time, for you can’t save money without putting any away.
