In coming to understand why player’s resists to improvement you have to start looking at the way they’ve been bought up.
When people are growing up in their family environment, generally everything is done for them and they don’t have to think about anything needing to be done because it’s going to get done anyhow.
The trouble starts when they enter the real world, especially if they have got a fixed mindset and low self-esteem.
In the real world not everything gets done for you. So when you forget things and people tell you to do it they can’t handle it, because in their mind, that’s not how it works.
By doing everything for them when they are growing up is creating a false sense of entitlement that doesn’t exist and kids are struggling between the transitions from their protected world to the real world.
Mums and Dads are too busy fighting their kid’s battles rather than letting their children learn how to swim in the sea and giving them tools to learn how to cope and prosper.
Kids need to realise and be informed that their protected world of everything being done for them is not the real world.
People’s reaction to asking them to do their job properly and getting them to improve, you can almost tell how someone was bought up and if they were wrapped up in cotton wool in a protected environment.
Being told to do your job properly is not bullying.
