Recently I’ve been reading the book, The Diamond Cutter, and basically, it’s a philosophy book, set in modern circumstances and basically is a way of looking at the world and life without letting one’s emotions tie one in knots.
The Diamond Cutter
For within the diamond cutter, there is 3 basic philosophies, with them being:
There is potential in everything
Something is neither good or bad, it’s how one perceives it that makes it so
The picture one creates in their mind, is the picture one is creating for their reality
And this picture building in the mind is taking place all the time, and most people aren’t aware of the language that they are using, or their perception of things is creating an imprint contrary to what they would like to see.
And people’s perception of things can change because:
Over time, how one perceives things may change, for what once one may have perceived to be good, over time, it may not be so
For example, to show how one’s perception of events can change, one may get really crook, and at the time may perceive to be a bad event, though that event may be the starting for ones own self-education in understanding about one’s health.
So at the time, being crook, maybe perceived at the time as a bad event, though later on, it may be perceived as one of the best things that could have happened, in getting one in changing their direction in what they do and in what they eat.
So the basic philosophy of the Diamond Cutter is to detach one’s emotion from the current events, for nothing is either good or bad, it’s how one perceives it, and the thoughts and imprints that one has in the current moment is creating one’s reality in future events
