I’ve mentioned previously that this blog goes off into some Left-Field topics and discussions, and just to show one how varied the reading that I indulge in is, here are 3 of the current books I’m reading.
The first of the current books is:
Dissolving Illusion – Suzanne Humphries MD
This book is about the history of vaccines, and the real story behind them, going back to smallpox
The second of the current books I’m reading is:
The Druid Code – Thomas Sheridan
This book is about the Druids in Ireland and what took place around 2500 BC and to realise that the Druids may have been the protectors of knowledge that we are just starting to re uncover and begin to understand.
The third of the current books I’m reading is:
Managing To Inspire – Bob Sullo
This book is about getting the best out of the people one supervises and an interesting quote from the book, though it applies to the business world, equally applies to anything for it all revolves around understanding human behaviour.
“You will understand that you can’t make your employees do what you want. You can, however, create a work environment that enables your workers to satisfy their needs by doing the kind of work that will make your company more successful”
The above would be a description of creating a learning environment and activating an individual’s ability for self-education is I ever saw one, just written using different words.
As one can easily see, all the current books I’m reading are very different, and what I’ll read in the future, I don’t really have any idea, it depends what I’m looking into, for other people can suggest things that I never thought of, or I can be browsing in a bookshop and come across something I hadn’t considered.
For me, reading and research is my TV and some of the way I fill in my time because:
One can watch TV for entertainment and to be programmed by others or one can read and do research to find out what is really going on and to further open their mind
