In becoming a better coach, depending on people’s behaviours will depend on one’s coaching response. And like anything, there are some general guidelines, though one still has to be flexible enough for the people and aspects which fall outside of those guidelines so one can adjust their coaching response to meet the needs displayed.
And there appears to be 4 general ways to adjust one’s coaching response to the behaviours that people display.

And when one begins looking at how people meet expectations and what type of archetype they display
Will begin to determine what angle your coaching response will be towards them.
Obviously there are no hard and fast rules and categories, though:
The initial coaching response for people who are the Leaders, Crusaders and Solider is generally going to be one of respect.
The initial coaching response for people who are the underdogs, self-sabotager and wolverine will generally require understanding
The initial coaching response for people who are manipulators, mouthpiece and politicians is generally going to be assertiveness
The initial coaching response for people who are sceptics, specialist and technicians is generally going to be information
And the initial coaching response for people who are the novice, free spirit, hypochondriac and royal will vary depending on their meeting of inner and outer expectations
And depending on the situation and circumstances the coaching response will vary, and as people develop and grow will change as well, so as a coach, one has to become aware to what is going on, for the answer to every problem is not a hammer.
For coaching response for people’s behaviour there are some general rules and guidelines, though in reality it becomes a horses for courses response depending on the behaviours being displayed
