Applying what one learns can be just as hard as learning about the things in the first place, for just because one learns something, it doesn’t mean that one will be applying what they’ve learnt correctly, there is still more learning to do.
A classic example would be lock picking.

By watching these sorts of videos, one can learn the principles of what to do, and the techniques behind it all, but at some stage, the rubber needs to meet the road, and one has to begin applying what one has learnt, and that means practice and making mistakes.
And via practice and making mistakes, one begins to build up their own working knowledge, and that applies to things like health, one can learn the basic principles very quickly, though learning the details, and finding out what works for oneself takes time.
And even down to coaching sports, for once one learns the working principles, it is only through the practical application and building up of ones knowledge, that one can begin making the principles truly work.
And sometimes the greatest success and satisfaction is in working out and applying the principles, than the actual results on the park
