In the process of learning about consciousness and our reality, I keep coming back to John Lennon and his most powerful songs on the subject, namely Mind Games, Instant Karma, Watching The wheels and Imagine.
John Lennon wrote a lot of pertinent powerful songs about many things, though these four are the most powerful in the word images that he used for putting the word out so more people can come to understand consciousness as well.
“We’re playing mind games together, pushing the barriers, planting seeds”
“Love is a flower, you gotta, you gotta let it grow”
“Who on earth do you think you are, a superstar, well alright you are”
“Why in the world are we here, surely not to live in pain and fear”
Watching The Wheels
I’m just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round, I really love to watch them roll, no longer riding on the merry go round, I just had to let it go”
“Imagine all the people living life in peace”
“Imagine all the people sharing all the world”
“You may say that I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one, I hope someday you’ll join us and the world will live as one”
There are many, many other John Lennon songs that I could have picked, though these are the four that I keep coming back to, for even when Imagine was released back in 1971, even as a 6-year-old and though I couldn’t explain it, the words just felt right and made a lot of sense.
Go through the songs of John Lennon, study the lyrics, you’ll learn so much about consciousness
