Over all the years coaching, and all the information gathered and sorted through, the basis of all coaching appears to come down to 2 essential questions.
There’s obviously still a lot of information and knowledge behind these essential questions, though anyone starting out on the coaching path, these 2 essential questions are a great place to start, with these questions being:
How do we get engagement by the players?
How do we develop dynamic players?
And then just build everything out from there. There are obviously other questions that will develop from here, though as a starting point, they will take one a long way.
For how do we get engagement by the players and how do we develop dynamic players, for a self- motivated individual who develops into a talented player is a big part of the coaching process.
So at the heart of becoming a good coach is in the ability to ask good questions, and others may not be able to answer those questions for you, so one has to begin answering for yourself.
